This website and application are operated by Highland Principals, LLC, an Illinois limited liability company ("Company," "Haste," "we," "us," or "our"). Our principal place of business is:

Haste provides a software-as-a-service platform that enables users to create, distribute, collect, and manage asynchronous video and audio interviews, recordings, and responses (the "Service").

By accessing or using our website, application, or any related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not access or use Haste.

1. ELIGIBILITY & ACCOUNT USE

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Haste.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and all activity that occurs under your credentials.

You agree not to:

  • Share accounts
  • Misrepresent your identity
  • Use the Service for illegal or unauthorized purposes

2. SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Haste allows users ("Creators") to:

  • Record interview questions
  • Distribute public or private interview links
  • Receive video, audio, or written responses from third parties ("Respondents")
  • Store, manage, download, and share interview content

Respondents do not need an account to submit responses unless otherwise required by a Creator.

3. CONTENT OWNERSHIP & LICENSE

Creator Content

Creators retain full ownership of all interview questions, recordings, and responses collected through their Haste account.

By uploading or collecting content through Haste, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display the content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

We do not sell, claim ownership of, or commercially exploit your content.

Respondent Content

Respondents grant the Creator and Haste permission to record, store, process, and display their responses.

Creators are responsible for obtaining all legally required consent from Respondents.

4. DATA, PRIVACY & SENSITIVE INFORMATION

Haste may store personal, professional, and potentially sensitive data, including but not limited to:

  • Names
  • Contact information
  • Job applications
  • Video & audio recordings
  • Health or personal disclosures

You agree that:

  • You are responsible for how you collect and use data
  • You will comply with all privacy, labor, and data protection laws
  • You will not use Haste to violate any individual's rights

Our handling of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

5. PAYMENTS & SUBSCRIPTIONS

  • Paid plans are billed via Stripe.
  • By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until canceled.
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
  • We may change pricing with reasonable notice.

6. PUBLIC LINKS & DISTRIBUTION

Creators may generate public links to collect responses.

You are solely responsible for:

  • Who receives those links
  • What data is collected
  • Whether consent is properly obtained

Haste is not responsible for misuse of public links.

7. PROHIBITED USES

You may not use Haste to:

  • Violate any law
  • Collect data without consent
  • Harass, defame, or discriminate
  • Distribute malware
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or abuse the platform

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations at our sole discretion.

8. TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms.

Upon termination:

  • Access to data may be removed
  • Outstanding balances remain owed

9. DISCLAIMER

Haste is provided "as is" and "as available."

We do not guarantee:

  • Continuous uptime
  • Error-free service
  • That the platform meets your specific needs

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Highland Principals, LLC shall not be liable for:

  • Lost data
  • Lost revenue
  • Business interruption
  • Any indirect or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.

11. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Highland Principals, LLC from any claims arising from:

  • Your content
  • Your use of Haste
  • Violations of law or these Terms

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law rules.

13. CHANGES

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Haste constitutes acceptance of changes.
